Abstract: Presentation made by Heritage Financial Corporation on March 12, 2013 regarding its acquisition of Valley Community Bancshares, Inc.

Heritage Financial Corporation, headquartered in Olympia, Washington, is the holding company of two independent community banks, Heritage Bank and Central Valley Bank. Both banks, with a total bank network of 34 branches, are Washington state-chartered full service commercial banks. Heritage Financial’s community banks provide commercial banking services to small and medium-sized businesses and have long histories of serving their communities.

With the FDIC-assisted acquisitions of Cowlitz Bank and Pierce Commercial Bank during 2010 and the recent addition of two branches from the Northwest Commercial Bank acquisition, Heritage Bank now serves western Washington and the greater Portland, Oregon area through its 28 full-service banking offices. Central Valley Bank serves Yakima and Kittitas Counties in central Washington through its 6 full-service banking offices.
